Happy Wedding Wednesday! I’m just doing the finishing touches on my Bridal Guide and I’m pushing this series of blogs forward to share some of my wedding planning tips with you!
You may have already gotten a hint of this already from other posts… but I LOVE what I do! Documenting your wedding day is an honor! You’ll be spending a lot of time with your photographer on the big day, it’s important to feel like you know them.
Here are some basic “getting to know you” things about me. I’m a new father, we just had Kaia last August. My wife Kodi and I got married 3.9.12. I’m also a Navy Veteran. I have a passion for telling stories through my lens.
Bride & Groom Portraits
Portrait time with the bride and groom is hands down my favorite part of the day! This is when I produce my best work and when my couples really get to enjoy their wedding day. I especially love the moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time! If I could photograph first looks all day long, I would!
I love starting off the day with beautiful details! It’s a nice stress relief to see your photographer arrive. Not immediately going to portraits is also a nice bonus for most brides. I consider details my “warm up” time. These details allow me a creative opportunity from the moment I begin.
After the Ceremony
The first moments after the ceremony are so special as well! This is when the couple gets to hug, laugh and cry with those that they are closest to. It’s emotional and it’s so very special! I love documenting this part of the day!
That’s just a bit about me and a small introduction to my 2016 Bridal Guide. The more comfortable you are with your photographer the easier things will be on the wedding day.
